Geopolitics is like the weather: it affects us all. My job is to help you get an idea of what is coming in the future and how it will affect you. Better still - maybe there’s a way to benefit from what’s happening.
We go into more than just geopolitics. We go into the story of demographics and culture to get an idea of how the future will affect the countries of the world.
As we speak the biggest geopolitical trend is that the 20th century world as we knew it is going away. The 20th century was nothing more than a fluke of what has happened. So if you’ve been living your life acting like what has been going on will always be this way then you’ll be mistaken.
Imperialism and Nationalism Will Define The 21st Century
Donald Trump winning the US presidency in 2024 such a landslide based on a “Make America Great Again” shows that Americans are shifting priorities. This is a big deal because America is a force onto itself.
The US is moving towards a model of picking a smaller group of countries and working with them (instead of the former Bretton Woods blanket model that was less selective.) This is where you and your family can prosper.
Even more so - the United States is the only reason why the 20th century “peaceful liberal order” even existed. The United States created a world order for the sake of national security against the Soviet Union and not philosophy or pragmatism.
This happened around 100 years ago. This next century is defined right now as we move away from the liberal world order and into a disunited world.
This national security policy took away the need for imperialism and nationalism for the sake of industrialization.
